What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in and to contact you about your account.
- Your page: username, display name, bio, links, theme, colours, social icons and any pictures you add to your links. This is public by design: anyone with your link can see it. We remove hidden information from pictures when you upload them, such as the location a photo was taken.
- Link clicks: we count how many times each of your links is clicked, per day, so you can see it in your editor. We don’t record anything about the person clicking.
- Sign-in sessions: when you sign in we store a session along with your IP address and browser type, to keep you signed in and spot misuse.
- Reports: if you report a page we keep the reason, any details you write, and your email if you give it. The page owner never sees who reported them.
- Moderation records: if a page is suspended we keep the reason, the reports it was based on, and private notes for handling appeals.
We don’t sell your information, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use tracking or advertising cookies.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Our bot check, Cloudflare Turnstile, may use its own to tell people from bots. That’s it.
Who else handles your data
We use a few services to run LinkTheme. They only get what they need to do their job:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and database and runs our bot check.
- Resend sends our sign-in emails, so it receives your email address.
- OpenAI checks pictures you upload for content our guidelines don’t allow, so it receives those pictures.
- Google checks links you add against its list of unsafe sites, so it receives those web addresses. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google also shares your name and email with us.
These services may store data outside Australia, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and page until you ask us to delete them. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes, and sessions end when they expire or you sign out. Reports and moderation records may be kept after a page is deleted where we need them for safety or legal reasons.
Your choices
You can change or remove anything on your page at any time in your editor. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email linktheme.com@gmail.com from the address you sign in with. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
LinkTheme isn’t for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, let us know and we’ll remove it.
Changes and complaints
We’ll update this policy as LinkTheme adds features, and tell you about important changes. If you have a privacy concern, email us first. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
